# Dortmund look to keep Pulisic from Liverpool with long-term deal

Liverpool made a bid for Christian Pulisic in the summer and it looks like Dortmund are going to respond by offering him a new long-term contract, as reported by [SI](https://www.si.com/planet-futbol/2016/09/21/christian-pulisic-borussia-dortmund-contract-liverpool-klopp).

The 18-year-old attacker has burst onto the scene in Germany, making 12 appearances last season in all competitions, scoring twice in the process.

American-born, Pulisic was handed his USA international debut in March earlier this year in a World Cup qualifier against Guatemala and has gone on to receive eight caps scoring on three occasions.

According to [Bleacher Report](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2663845-insider-buzz-liverpool-will-continue-their-pursuit-of-christian-pulisic), Liverpool are still eyeing a move for the teenage forward and will look to sign him in 2017.

With his contract expiring in the summer of 2018, Dortmund are eager to tie him down to a new long-term deal to fend off interest from the likes of the Reds.

However, Pulisic is believed to be taking a ‘wait and see’ approach to proceedings, as he wants to see how much game time he gets this season before deciding his future.
