# Emre Can hits back at claims he demanded £200,000-a-week from Liverpool

Emre Can has taken to social media to refute claims that he has demanded £200,000-a-week from Liverpool.

The German international is out of contract in the summer and it is expected that he’ll leave the club, with Juventus looking like they’ll be the team who signs him.

However, it was reported over the weekend that Can was asking to become Liverpool’s highest paid player and that he would only sign a new deal with the club if they agreed to pay him £200,000-a-week.

Can has called these stories false, said that his focus will be on getting back fit and that he will refuse to comment on any more stories about his future.
