# Emre Can won’t leave for Juventus in January

Emre Can has been heavily linked with a transfer away from Liverpool but for the time being, he remains an integral part of Jurgen Klopp’s first-team squad an is a virtual ever-present in the line-up.

The Germany international becomes a free agent next summer but the Reds rejected interest from Juventus over the summer in order to keep him at Anfield as talks continue over a new deal.

Juventus have been linked with a January swoop for Can but [Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/exclusive-juventus-january-transfer-strategies-revealed-emre-can-69193) report that the midfielder won’t be swapping Merseyside for Turin during the upcoming transfer window, with Juventus prepared to wait until he becomes a free agent in the summer to make their move.

The 23-year-old has been pretty coy about his future but Liverpool remain hopeful they can agree a new contract with the former Bayern Munich starlet.

Manchester United and Chelsea are both believed to be keeping tabs on the situation as they consider making moves for him on a free transfer next summer.
