# Fabinho discusses PSG speculation

Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has discussed the recent speculation linking him with a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian international joined the Reds during the summer transfer window, rebuffing interest from clubs across Europe to complete a big-money move from AS Monaco.

After a slow integration into the first team, the midfielder has emerged as a key player for Jurgen Klopp’s side as they push to win the Premier League title this season.

Fabinho was, nevertheless, touted with an exit from Anfield on a temporary basis, with Thomas Tuchel having reportedly established an interest in signing the player on a short-term loan deal in the January transfer window.

The Reds star has had his say on these recent rumours and laughed off claims that he will leave Merseyside. Speaking to [L’Equipe](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Article/Fabinho-liverpool-je-n-ai-pas-regrette-mon-choix/976610), he said:

> I never thought of going elsewhere. I know a lot of things were written in the newspapers, but it wasn’t true. What’s funny is that this PSG loan story came out just before our Champions League match \[on November 28\].

> I had already experienced a similar story the day before the Coupe de la Ligue final between PSG and Monaco \[in March 2018\]. It’s a strange coincidence, isn’t it?

Fabinho will be hoping to start for Liverpool next weekend when they bid to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table with a win against Crystal Palace.
