# Fabinho tipped to start at right-back for Brazil

Liverpool’s summer signing Fabinho looks set to make his return to the Brazilian national team at right-back.

The Reds’ midfielder has struggled to break into the Liverpool side since joining from AS Monaco this summer.

He has endured similar troubles with the national side, despite making his debut for his country back in 2015. Fabinho has since struggled to make a mark on the international scene.

However, [according to reports from Globo Esporte, as cited by Selecao Brasileira](https://twitter.com/BrazilStat/status/1037099740851314689), he is being tipped to start in defence.

Fabinho is more than capable of playing a more defensive role and broke through as a defender.

It was not until later in his career that he would move into a midfield role, something that has dampened his international chances.

Leonardo Jardim moved the player into midfield at Monaco and it was there where he played a key role in their success in Ligue 1 before earning a move his Liverpool.
