# Fans fume as Jurgen Klopp says January signings aren’t likely

Many [Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/01/07/liverpool-fans-mixed-david-alaba-rumours/) fans have made their feelings known on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/JamesPearceLFC/status/1347174226671923200) as [Jurgen Klopp](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/01/07/fans-fume-after-journalist-says-liverpool-are-unlikely-to-buy-centre-back/) continued the now-familiar party line regarding the Reds’ transfer stance this January.

Speaking in his [pre-match press conference](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/422098-injury-update-naby-keita-joel-matip-diogo-jota) ahead of the FA Cup third round tie with Aston Villa, Klopp admitted it remains unlikely that there will be an incoming centre-back this month, saying:

> I can’t say definitely that we won’t sign one but it’s just not likely. This club will always be very responsible with the things we do. If the world was in a normal place and then 3 senior CBs got injured, is that a situation when you would do something? Yes, usually. But it’s not.
