# Four Findings: Swansea 1-0 Liverpool

Frustration reigned at the Liberty Stadium as Liverpool looked the complete mirror image of the side that bested the league leaders. All the intensity and cutting edge shown against Manchester City went missing as the Reds went to Wales, losing to Swansea 1-0.

Of course, there will be all kinds of tired criticisms trotted out after a loss like this. The side lacked creativity and yet sold Philippe Coutinho. When the Reds needed a player to unlock the low block, there was no option. Set pieces prove the team’s undoing yet again. All of these sentiments will no doubt be sounded.

Liverpool were listless in every phase. A collective collapse against the league’s lowest side will bring out that kind of reaction. Yet, the end of their unbeaten run was coming. It might not have been expected against the Swans but, as always, the reaction will be the truest test.

There will be matches like this. Nothing went quite right for the Reds. The midfield failed to find any rhythm or tempo. The ruthlessness the attackers have shown recently faded frightfully. All around, sloppy play proved their undoing. As painful as it might have been, it remains only one setback amidst a remarkable run of improvement and consistency.

Here are four findings from the match.
