# Galatasaray preparing to offer Sturridge a contract

Galatasaray have been in talks with Daniel Sturridge and are preparing to offer the forward a contract.

Sturridge is set to become a free agent at the end of the month upon the expiry of his Liverpool contract.

[According to Turkish outlet Aspor, via Inside Futbol,](https://www.insidefutbol.com/2019/06/07/galatasaray-moving-for-departing-liverpool-striker-after-positive-talks/423496/) Galatasaray are ready to meet Sturridge’s demands after holding talks with the striker this week.

Liverpool have decided not to offer him a new deal and he will leave the club on a free transfer ahead of next season.

The 29-year-old striker only scored twice in 18 Premier League appearances for Liverpool, whilst scoring once in seven Champions League games.

Aspor claim that Galatasaray are offering Sturridge a three-year contract, which will also include a sign-on fee to persuade him to move to Turkey.

Sturridge joined Liverpool from Chelsea in 2012 and scored 67 goals in 160 appearances for the club in all competitions.
