# Genoa rule out January sale of Reds target Piatek

Liverpool will not sign Genoa striker Krzysztof Piątek in January, with the club’s director ruling out any chance of a sale.

Giorgio Perinetti has confirmed that the Italian outfit will not be forced into a sale, despite interest from a host of top European clubs.

Perinetti was [speaking to Radio Sportiva, as reported by David Amoyal](https://twitter.com/DavidAmoyal/status/1050694930107179009) on Twitter.

> We should absolutely exclude \[the\] possibility of Piatek being sold in January. He can improve even more so it’s hard to imagine the parameters & set his valuation now.

Piatek is attracting a wealth of interest following his fine start to the season with Genoa.

The Pole has scored nine goals in eight league games this season and is being dubbed as ‘the next Robert Lewandowski.’

Liverpool are [among the interested parties](https://readchelsea.com/2018/10/12/napoli-interested-in-chelsea-target-piatek/), while Bayern, Barcelona, Napoli and Juventus have all been linked with the forward in recent weeks.

It is believed that the Italians were demanding [around €40 million](https://readchelsea.com/2018/10/11/chelsea-target-piatek-to-cost-e40m-in-january/) for the striker’s services, but they are hoping to keep hold of him until the summer at least.
