# Gremio fearing Liverpool target Luan will leave

Despite the impending £39m arrival of Mohamed Salah from Roma which should be finalised this week, Liverpool still reportedly want to add options to their forward line with the future of Daniel Sturridge still up in the air.

The Reds are one of three Premier League teams reportedly interested in signing Gremio striker Luan this summer and manager Renato Gaucho fears that his star man will leave the club this summer.

Luan made his international debut for Brazil back in January and has netted seven goals in his last eight games for Gremio as he continues to assert himself as one of the top strikers in South American football today.

“In my opinion, Luan is the best player in Brazilian football,” he told *SporTV* as quoted by [Goal](https://www.goal.com/en/news/8/main/2017/06/20/36501902/gremio-expect-luan-exit-as-liverpool-arsenal-and-tottenham). “He has been playing great football, helping the team.

“We all know that Gremio will struggle to keep him because the proposals will appear.

“We hope he does not go, but it gets difficult with the \[transfer\] window and with him playing as he has been playing.

“It’s going to be a real shame. The group are strong, but of course we will feel it if this happens.

“For my part the club would never interfere in a way that holds back the player. Unfortunately nowadays the Brazilian clubs cannot compete with \[those in\] Europe.”

Both Arsenal and Tottenham are also said to be showing an interest in the 24-year-old attacker who can operate on the left-wing as well as his primary role through the middle.
