The duo with link up with Frank Lampard as the former Chelsea midfielder takes his first steps into management.

Wilson had been expected to leave the club on loan this summer, with over a dozen clubs reportedly making offers for the winger.

Stoke, Aston Villa, West Brom and Norwich were all said to be interested in Wilson.

He impressed at Hull City last season in a side that was bravely fighting against relegation. However, Derby now presents Wilson with the opportunity to perform in a squad that will be fighting for promotion to the Premier League.

Wilson returned to pre-season training with Liverpool and impressed in the opening friendlies of the season.
