# Harry Wilson eyes first-team role at Liverpool next season

Harry Wilson is currently in the middle of a very good run of form at Hull City and he is hoping that he doing enough to prove himself to Jurgen Klopp ahead of his return to Liverpool in the summer.

Wilson joined the Tigers on loan in January and has gone on to score four goals in his six starts as he looks to help his temporary club stay in the Championship.

The Welsh international told the [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/harry-wilson-ready-stamp-mark-14507049) that he moved to Hull City in order to get regular playing time, which he’s accomplished, and as such, he’s full of confidence.

> My confidence is high, but that comes from playing minutes and the team doing well. It was what I wanted and, thankfully, I’ve been given the minutes I wanted here. I’ve come into a team that’s playing well and I’ve managed to chip in with a few goals and assists, which is even better.

Wilson has been at Liverpool since he was eight-years-old and says that his next aim is to impress Klopp and his staff in the summer so that he can have a role in the first team next season.

> I’m ready to go back to Liverpool in pre-season and try to stamp my mark on the team. Hopefully, I can get in it and, if not, who knows what the future holds? I was confident coming here and I just wanted to play with freedom.

Liverpool do look short of depth in wide areas, so if Wilson is able to make the step up, he’d be a valuable asset to the Reds.
