# Henderson suffers blow to thigh in Porto clash

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson appeared to pick up a knock to his thigh near the end of the 0-0 draw against FC Porto this evening.

The England international went up for a header in the closing stages of the Champions League clash and landed awkwardly. Henderson was seen limping rather awkwardly as the game drew to a close, and was subsequently shown to be strapping his thigh up following the full-time whistle.

Henderson played out the full match against Porto, as Liverpool booked their place in the quarter finals of the Champions League.

Although the Reds did not come out as victors on the night, their rampant 5-0 win in Portugal in the first leg of the tie was enough to make it a comfortable evening for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

However, the knock to Henderson could come as a concern, with Liverpool gearing up for their crunch clash at Manchester United on Saturday afternoon at Old Trafford.

The injury could, of course, be as minor as a dead leg. Although, it is sure to be something that is monitored by Liverpool and their medical staff, with the Manchester United clash bearing such importance on their pursuit of 2nd place in the Premier League.
