# Henderson wants Liverpool to focus on West Ham

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has urged his team to take the point gained against Leicester and focus on another big game coming up this Monday night at West Ham.

The Reds missed the chance of going seven points clear in this title race after Manchester City lost to Newcastle United on Tuesday.

Sadio Mane did give them an ideal start by scoring early in the third minute. But Jurgen Klopp’s men were guilty of not passing swiftly and allowing the Leicester defence to regroup and close down the spaces.

On the stroke of half-time, Harry Maguire equalised for the visitors to send Anfield into a nervous panic.

The Reds tried hard and grafted for one chance to regain the lead, but that wasn’t forthcoming.

Though the disappointment is palpable among the supporters for not opening a bigger gap, there is a feeling that Leicester are a good team, and they also deserved some credit.

Henderson was speaking to [LiverpoolFC.com](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/336220-jordan-henderson-liverpool-leicester-reaction) and echoed these thoughts:

> Of course we’ll be a little bit disappointed because we wanted the three points, but Leicester are a good side. They made it difficult so I suppose we’ve got to take the point, move on quickly and improve for the next game.

The Reds will be hoping to get back on track with a win away at West Ham on Monday night.
