# He’s walked out on a club before – Parry on Sterling

Former Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry says that he’s not surprised that Raheem Sterling is ready to walk out on Liverpool as because he’s done it before.

The England international seemingly wants to leave the Reds this summer, and has been linked to a large number of clubs across the continent.

Parry is of the opinion that it would be best for Sterling to stay at Anfield but  he admits he’s not suprised by the current situation.

Speaking on Talksport, Parry said:

“*I don’t know how strong a position the club will take. They are holding a few aces. What Raheem should have done is knuckled down and signed his new contract.*

*“He’s got plenty of football ahead of him. I think the best place for him would be Liverpool and the best manager would be Brendan Rodgers, given the support they’ve given him and his development.*

*“But, equally so, he’s done it once. They took him from QPR and it’s going to happen again. So in some ways what do people expect?”*
