# Jamie Carragher lauds ‘out of this world’ Liverpool star Diogo Jota

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/12/20/liverpool-fans-unhappy-with-display-from-fraud-naby-keita/) forward [Diogo Jota](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/12/10/virals-jurgen-klopp-confirms-liverpool-duo-may-be-ready-for-epl-clash/) was once again a star as the Reds were held to a 2-2 draw against Tottenham in North London.

Despite being forced into fielding an [unfamiliar](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-xi-vs-tottenham-starting-lineup-confirmed-team-news-injury-covid-latest-premier-league-2021-today-b972612.html) midfield, Jurgen Klopp’s side were always in the contest and the 25-year-old’s potency came to the fore.

Having gone behind to a Harry Kane strike, Jota [responded soon after](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XUvXpg8yOE) with a superbly placed header.

Speaking on [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/tottenham-hotspur-vs-liverpool/live/446464), former Anfield favourite Jamie Carragher was full of praise for the expert finish.

Albeit diminutive to look at, Jota has [proven time and time again](https://www.premierleague.com/players/19758/Diogo-Jota/stats) to be lethal in the air.

Now facing further competition from a [fit-again](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-newcastle-injury-team-news-25704609) Roberto Firmino, the Portuguese forward will be hoping to double down on a starting berth in Klopp’s side.

Boasting a rising market value of £40.5million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/diogo-jota/marktwertverlauf/spieler/340950)), Liverpool certainly seem to have unearthed another gem heading straight to the top of the game.
