# Jean-Clair Todibo reportedly eyed by Liverpool

Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Jean-Clair Todibo’s situation at Toulouse ahead of the January transfer window.

According to claims from French news outlet [La Depeche](https://www.ladepeche.fr/article/2018/11/08/2902709-pourquoi-jean-clair-todibo-jeune-prodige-tfc-est-ecarte-club.html), the promising central defender has yet to put pen to paper on a professional contract with the Ligue 1 club, casting doubt over his long-term future with Toulouse.

The 18-year-old has emerged as an important player for his side this season following the departure of Issa Diop to West Ham. Todibo has made 10 starts in Ligue 1 and has found the net on one occasion.

However, Toulouse have been left concerned by Todibo’s uncertainty regarding his future, with the centre-back still pondering over a new deal with the French club.

Liverpool, along with their fellow Premier League rivals Wolves, are believed to be closely following Todibo’s progress at Toulouse as they consider a move to land the defender.

If Todibo does not pen a new contract at his club before the January transfer window rolls around, La Depeche claim that he will be available to potential suitors on a free transfer.
