# John Achterberg drops major hint about Liverpool signing Alisson

Liverpool’s goalkeeping coach John Achterberg has given a major hint that a deal for Roma’s Alisson might be close by liking a post about the deal on Instagram.

The guys over at [The Redmen TV](https://theredmentv.com/) took a screenshot of a report from Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, which said that the Brazilian is close to agreeing a deal to move to Anfield, and posted it on their Instagram feed.

Achterberg was one of the thousands of people who liked the post, which could be taken as a sign that he agrees with Di Marzio’s reporting.

Liverpool have made an offer for the 25-year-old but as it stands, that bid has not been accepted by Roma.
