# Jurgen Klopp admits admiration of West Ham star Jarrod Bowen

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/11/05/virals-jurgen-klopp-confirms-serious-problem-for-roberto-firmino/) manager Jurgen Klopp has placed on record his admiration of West Ham forward [Jarrod Bowen](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/24/virals-liverpool-set-to-reignite-interest-in-jarrod-bowen/).

The Reds were [tentatively linked](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1484387/Liverpool-transfer-news-Jarrod-Bowen-gossip-rumours-update-deadline-day) with a move for the 24-year-old during the summer and it would appear the interest from Anfield is genuine.

Klopp takes his [unbeaten side](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/match/2021-22/men/fixtures-and-results) to the London Stadium to face West Ham on Sunday and the German is all too aware of the threat posed.

Speaking in the [pre-match press conference](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLkzj7p8RXw), as cited by [James Pearce](https://twitter.com/JamesPearceLFC/status/1456618529344663558) on Twitter, the 54-year-old admitted that he was a big fan of the versatile frontman.

So far this season Bowen has [scored three times and registered three assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/leistungsdaten/spieler/314875) in 16 appearances across all competitions.

Since arriving in east London for £20million plus add ons in 2020 ([BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51323082)), the Englishman has netted [12 goals and set up teammates on 13 occasions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/314875) in 69 outings.

Meanwhile, Klopp also confirmed that he [‘hoped’](https://twitter.com/JamesPearceLFC/status/1456617219966836738) both James Milner and Naby Keita would return to fitness following the upcoming international break.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Interest in Bowen should come as no real surprise to any ardent Kopite.

Despite not boasting eye-opening numbers, the [endeavour](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/322596/Show/Jarrod-Bowen), rise to prominence and potential of the ex-Hull man make him the intriguing proposition to the Reds.

Valued at £27million and under contract until 2025 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/marktwertverlauf/spieler/314875)), any deal remains unlikely for now. Although, genuine interest from Anfield could change the situation at a rapid pace.
