# Jurgen Klopp has personally spoken with Alisson over possible transfer

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has personally spoken to Roma goalkeeper Alisson as the Reds look to secure a deal to sign the Brazilian international.

As reported by Italian journalist [Fabrizio Romano](https://twitter.com/fabrizioromano/status/1019309852466794498?s=21), Klopp has spoken to the 25-year-old on the telephone, presumably to give him various assurances and perhaps a little nudge to sign for Liverpool.

Chelsea are said to be keen on Alisson too and his agent has reportedly held talks with them, but Liverpool are the only club to have made an official offer to Roma.

The Italian side have not accepted any bid for their goalkeeper at this time, but there seems to be an acceptance that they will allow him to leave and Liverpool are currently the front runners in the race to sign him.

With Simon Mignolet’s time at Anfield looking like it will come to an end this summer, and with so many question marks surrounding Loris Karius, Liverpool were always likely to look to to bring in a new goalkeeper and Alisson is the man they want.
