# Jurgen Klopp “hugely impressed” by Ben White ahead of potential move

Jurgen Klopp and Pep Lijnders were both “hugely impressed” by Ben White when he faced Liverpool, a source has told [https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-klopp-left-purring-white-liverpool-brighton-bid/](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-klopp-left-purring-white-liverpool-brighton-bid/)*[Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-klopp-left-purring-white-liverpool-brighton-bid/)*.

The 23-year-old has been one of many players [tipped](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-transfer-ben-white-brighton-19609344) to be on the Reds’ radar, as they look at potential centre-back additions this summer.

White shone in Brighton’s 1-0 win at Anfield last month and his performance is believed to have caught Klopp’s eye.

The source mentioned in the report claims that the Englishman is still on Liverpool’s radar.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

White is having an impressive campaign for the Seagulls, shining at both centre-back and in midfield.

At [6ft1in tall](https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=94482), he is not the biggest defender, however, and winning an average of [1.4 aerial duels](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/322036/Show/Ben-White) per game in the Premier League this season suggests he is not the most dominant.

As a comparison, Ozan Kabak already has an average of [3.5](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/356743/Show/Ozan-Kabak), despite a shaky start to life at Liverpool.

Klopp knows a good player when he sees one, though, and if White has done enough to make him believe he can be a shrewd addition, the Reds should consider a summer bid.
