# Karius set to be dropped by Besiktas with manager concerned

Loris Karius is set to suffer yet another blow in his bid to get his career back on track while on loan at Besiktas.

According to [Fotomac](https://turkish-football.com/liverpool-keeper-loris-karius-will-reportedly-get-dropped-ahead-next-besiktas-europa-league-game/), [as cited on JOE](https://www.joe.co.uk/sport/loris-karius-set-to-be-dropped-by-besiktas-204670), Karius is set to be dropped by the Turkish giants, with manager Senol Gunes concerned about the German goalkeeper.

Liverpool allowed the player to leave on loan during the summer in an attempt to find regular first-team football following a disastrous end to the season with the Reds.

He joined Besiktas and slotted straight into their starting XI, but Karius has been unable to prevent the constant mistakes creeping into his game.

The German found his name in the headlines before the international break during a Europa League game against Malmo. He failed to deal with what looked like a routine cross, that in fact swooped over his head and under the crossbar.
