# Karius wants to return to Liverpool before the end of the season

Loris Karius has reportedly asked Liverpool to cancel his loan deal at Besiktas, amid a contract dispute with the Turkish club.

Karius is currently involved in an ongoing spat with Besiktas over unpaid wages and was publicly slammed by his manager –  Senol Gunes – last month.

[According to Turkish reports, via The Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-news-transfers-live-latest-15993646), Karius has now asked Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool if they can bring him back to the club before the end of the season.

Karius joined Besiktas on loan last summer and has made 27 appearances in all competitions for the Turkish giants this season.

He was sent out on loan from Liverpool after his horror show in the Champions League final last season – as he gifted Real Madrid two goals in a 3-1 defeat.

The German shot-stopper was replaced by Alisson, who has been in terrific form for Liverpool between the sticks this season.
