# Klopp confirms Salah and Firmino will miss Barcelona clash

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino will both miss Tuesday’s crucial Champions League semi-final second leg against Barcelona.

The pair had both been doubts with respective injuries, and the Liverpool boss confirmed on Monday in his pre-match press conference that they will miss out against Barca, [according to the Mirror.](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-press-conference-live-mohamed-15003619)

> Both are unavailable for tomorrow. The approach is that we try to win the game. The situation is not what you want in a second leg. You can’t play Barca and say ‘world watch this’. We try to win the game and if the result gets us through then we will try. There is just a little chance to make the season longer. I think we should celebrate the last two games.

Tests revealed that Salah suffered a concussion during Saturday’s victory over Newcastle after the winger collided with goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, and Klopp confirmed that he will be out for Barca’s trip to Anfield.

> It is a concussion. That means he is not allowed to play. He feels OK but it isn’t good enough from a medical point of view.

Firmino meanwhile is ruled out due to a muscular injury he sustained in training, but could be fit for Liverpool’s final league game of the season.
