# Klopp fulfilling his ‘dream’ as Liverpool manager

Jurgen Klopp has revealed he is living out his boyhood dream of managing a club of Liverpool’s stature, and having “world class” footballers at his disposal.

The German admitted he has always dreamt of having a squad full of the best players in world football who are capable of challenging for titles, and believes he has that at Liverpool.

The Reds made it to the Champions League final under Klopp last season, and host Porto in the first leg of their quarter final tie in Europe’s biggest competition on Tuesday.

Klopp has also guided Liverpool to two points clear at the top of the Premier League with five games remaining, and the former Borussia Dortmund manager [revealed to Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/11688335/jurgen-klopp-relishing-liverpools-challenge-for-premier-league-and-champions-league-success) that he is fulfilling his dream at Anfield.

> When I was a young manager, I was always dreaming of having a team of world-class players with the attitude of a proper challenger.

> That is actually what I love, and we showed that, especially in the Champions League very often. We all know what happens if the boys do win something. That changes everything. But in this moment, we should not think about that. As a club, as a group, with all our supporters we should enjoy the situation because it is so different.

Liverpool are involved in one of the most thrilling title races of recent seasons, and have the chance to do the double this season with a Champions League triumph.

And Klopp revealed he is ‘loving’ this season so far, with his side pushing Manchester City all the way in the league and in the quarter final of the Champions League.

> Last year we had proper pressure in the last part of the season. Chelsea was winning each game and we were drawing, after being 10 points ahead. In the end, we had to win the last game again to qualify for the Champions League. We don’t expect, or take it for granted, that we will be in the Champions League final again but having the chance again is really unbelievable

> On the other side, we have made this big step in the league. We are responsible for the league not being decided yet. In all other seasons, we would have probably 60-something points and be fighting with five other teams for three places behind City. This is completely different. I love this season much more.
