# Klopp looking for “special” Liverpool performance against Napoli

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he is hoping for a special Liverpool performance against Napoli in the final group stage match of the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Merseyside club know that they must beat the Italian Serie A side 1-0 or by two clear goals to progress to the knockout stages and Klopp knows that it will be a tough task.

The fans are gearing up for a special European night at Anfield and Klopp is hoping his players find their best form.

As quoted on [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/11577148/jurgen-klopp-says-liverpool-need-special-performance-to-beat-napoli), he said:

> It is a big task. Napoli did so well with Maurizio Sarri and now they have such an experienced manager in Carlo Ancelotti, who has come in.

> We all know the results we need. It is difficult because Napoli is good in possession but is good counter-attacking as well and a typical Italian team, good at defending.

> So it is a big challenge but it is football and if something special is possible, it is here.

The Reds fell to a 1-0 defeat when they faced Napoli earlier in the season and will be looking to match that scoreline at Anfield tomorrow night.
