However, the German was well aware of the challenges that will await his side in the round of 16. The Reds boss told the [club’s official website](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/330639-jurgen-klopp-liverpool-champions-league-draw-reaction?wgu=264175_54264_15450777984064_012649a998&wgexpiry=1552853798&source=webgains&siteid=54264&utm_source=affiliates&utm_medium=webgains&utm_campaign=54264) that he is expecting a difficult couple of matches against Bayern. He said:

> So we have now time to prepare the game, a lot of time obviously, and hopefully, we have all our players available then. It will be a tough one, an interesting one, and I am looking forward to it.

Niko Kovac’s side have not convinced in the Bundesliga this season and are nine points away from top spot, with Borussia Dortmund flying high.

Bayern did comprehensively finish at the top of Group E in the previous Champions League stage, though, and will be keen to advance further against Klopp’s Liverpool side.
