# Klopp’s agent drops Premier League hint

Former Borussia Dortmund boss Jürgen Klopp would consider a move to the Premier League in the future, as long as he could work with a sporting director.

The revelation, made by the German’s agent, could spark interest from Liverpool, who were recently linked with him.

The 47-year-old departed Signal Igunda Park at the end of the season after an impressive seven years at the helm, but he has now suggested he will take a break from the game – in a similar manner to Pep Guardiola after his departure from Barcelona, before subsequently joining German rivals Bayern Munich.

Klopp’s agent has now suggested he would certainly be open to a move to England, in a league he believes is “very exciting”.

The news could lead the Merseyside club to push for a move for the German – with current manager Brendan Rodgers uncertain over his long-term future with the club after a shaky season.

Mark Kosicke, the manager’s agent, spoke to SPOX about a move which could see him head to Liverpool, saying: *“The Premier League is very exciting, and we do not only think about the top four because there are some other great clubs below them. But I am not sure the profile of the job could work.*

*“In Germany there is a clear separation between manager and sporting director and I think in principle this is very good. Jürgen does not like to speak to players’ agents or to carry out a transfer. So we have to see which is the most useful arrangement.”*

To add to the hopes of the Kop, Kosicke also feels his client may consider joining a club without Champions League football to their name, and could aim to build a club in a similar way to his work with Dortmund.

*“It is always all about the challenge,”* he added. *“When Jürgen signed for Dortmund there were other clubs who had better prestige and were in better financial mood at this time. Nevertheless he decided for Dortmund.*

*“He has the great ability to develop things. If he goes into a stadium, feels the energy and thinks that he can make a difference here, this could be more attractive to him than going with the big deals and aim for the treble.”*

Klopp lifted the Bundesliga twice in back-to-back seasons, while also finishing as runners-up in the Champions League, during his spell at Dortmund.
