# Lazar Markovic seals Deadline Day move to Fulham

Lazar Markovic’s time at Liverpool has finally come to an end, with the Serb [completing](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11681/11624308/fulham-sign-liverpool-winger-lazar-markovic) a Deadline Day move to Fulham.

The transfer was completed at the eleventh hour, with the Cottagers managing to get a deal over the line.

*Sky Sports* claim the Reds will recoup approximately £1.7million in wages and fees for Markovic.

It brings an end to a disastrous Liverpool career – perhaps one of the most disappointing of the Premier League era.

The 24-year-old made a big-money move to Anfield from Benfica in 2014, arriving as one of Europe’s most highly-rated young players.

He never came close to making the grade at Liverpool, however, heading out on loan to Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon, Hull City and Anderlecht.

Markovic’s last appearance for the Reds came way back in May 2015 and he has been playing for the U23s recently.

Fulham will hope they can get a new lease of life out of the winger, as they battle for Premier League survival.
