# Leeds tipped to sign Rhian Brewster in January

It looks like Liverpool will allow striker Rhian Brewster to leave on loan in January, with Aston Villa, Leeds United and Swansea City all being linked with moves for the England U21 international.

The 19-year-old is very much on the fringes of the Liverpool first-team squad at the moment and with the Reds expected to sign Takumi Minamino in January, they’re willing to let the teenager leave in order for him to get more first-team action.

There has been a lot of discussion about where Brewster will end up going and former England striker Darren Bent has tipped him to join Leeds United.

As reported by the [Yorkshire Evening Post](https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-united/latest-leeds-united-news/leeds-united-news-live-marcelo-bielsa-tipped-sign-liverpool-striker-ahead-sheffield-wednesday-and-swansea-1341944), he said:

> It’s a no-brainer if they’re willing to let him go out on loan and Leeds would be perfect for him with them near the top of the Championship. He’ll go in there, play, help them get promoted, and if he does help them get promoted who knows next season he may end up getting a permanent move to Leeds and that could really kickstart his Premier League career.

Brewster has played just twice for Liverpool this season, in the League Cup clashes over the MK Dons and Arsenal, so if Liverpool do send him to Leeds, they’ll be looking for assurances that he’ll play regular football.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

A loan for Brewster makes sense but he has to go somewhere and play. Last season, we saw Harry Wilson flourish at Derby County, whereas Ben Woodburn hardly played at all for Sheffield United, thus showing the two ways that loan moves can go.

Leeds would be a great destination for Brewster, if they can offer him enough game time. They play very good football, have an outstanding manager in Marcelo Bielsa, they’re challenging at the top of the Championship and play in front of a big crowd at Elland Road.

Time will tell where Brewster ends up but Leeds, if they can get him enough action, would be a very good destination.
