# Leipzig CEO hints at Liverpool move for Timo Werner

RB Leipzig’s CEO, Oliver Mintzlaff, has dropped a huge hint that Liverpool are interested in signing striker Timo Werner this summer.

In an interview with Sky (cited by [GGFN](https://twitter.com/ggfn_/status/1128012229394272256?s=21)), Mintzlaff was asked about the possibility of Werner making a move to Bayern Munich in the summer, as there have been numerous reports that the German international has agreed to make a move to the Bundesliga champions.

Mintzlaff’s reply will have certainly raised the eyebrows of supporters of Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool and PSG.

He said:

> Maybe \[Timo\] doesn’t even want to go to Munich. Maybe he would rather join Tuchel in Paris, Klopp at Liverpool or Favre at Dortmund.

It could just be that the CEO has randomly selected a few random clubs to discuss, but there have been suggestions that Bayern aren’t the only club showing interest in Werner and it could be that Mintzlaff has let slip the other interested parties.
