# Liverpool accept £15m bid for Jordon Ibe

Liverpool have accepted a £15million bid from Bournemouth for winger Jordon Ibe, according to a report by [James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-fc-accept-15m-jordon-11580724).

The 20-year-old will now hold talks with Eddie Howe and the South Coast club.

Ibe was once seen as the next big hope of the Liverpool academy but after an indifferent 2015/16 season, it looks like Jurgen Klopp has decided that the youngster is surplus to requirements.

When Liverpool sold Raheem Sterling to Manchester City, some fans thought that Ibe would be the man to step into void left by the England winger’s departure, but he’s never been able to reach the levels that Sterling did.

Ibe is clearly talented, as displayed by the goal he scored against West Brom in the final Premier League game of the season, but it appears that Klopp is happy to let him move on.

Ibe’s departure could mean more playing time for Sheyi Ojo and perhaps Lazar Markovic.
