# Liverpool and Barcelona are “the best two sides I’ve faced as a manager” reveals Guardiola

Pep Guardiola has revealed that the current Liverpool side and Luis Enrique’s Barcelona team from 2015 are the two toughest sides he has ever faced as a manager.

Barca famously won the treble in the 2014/15 season with the deadly front-three of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar firing Enrique’s side to glory in the Champions League, La Liga and the Copa del Rey.

And the City boss has revealed that the current crop of players Liverpool are as good as the aforementioned Barca side he faced as Bayern Munich manager in 2015, [football365 report.](https://www.football365.com/news/guardiola-msn-era-barca-and-this-liverpool-are-best)

> You give credit for the titles and how huge our rival is. In my career as a manager, I played against incredible sides and there are two that were ‘wow’. One is the Barcelona of Luis Enrique with Neymar, Messi and Suarez in front. The other is this Liverpool. I think they’re the best two sides I’ve faced as a manager.
