# Liverpool and Spurs eye £20m January move for David Brooks

Sheffield United will demand somewhere in the region of £20 million for Liverpool and Spurs target David Brooks, according to the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-tottenham-lead-20m-transfer-11543909).

The report suggests that both teams are keen to sign the youngster, who has impressed for Chris Wilder’s high-flying Sheffield United this season.

Brooks broke into the first-team squad this season after coming so close to being sent out on loan.

Wilder has been willing to slowly bed him into the first-team and his performances have not gone unnoticed.

The attacking midfielder has scored just the one goal in the Championship this season but has registered two assists.

United will be desperate to keep hold of Brooks until at least the summer, but the report suggests that the Premier League duo could make a move in January.

Brooks was born in Warrington but has already represented Wales at senior level.

He made his international debut in a friendly against Panama, where he was voted as Man of the Match.
