# Liverpool to assess Ryan Kent in pre-season

Liverpool are expected to be one of the busiest clubs this summer in terms of both incomings and outgoings, with a number of players at Anfield still fretting about their futures.

One of those is talented young winger Ryan Kent. The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Barnsley and has been reportedly lined up by a number of Championship clubs for another loan move.

The [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4639990/TRANSFER-COLUMN-Liverpool-target-Naby-Neita.html) note that Birmingham are keen on signing the winger this summer on loan, but Liverpool are unwilling to let him leave just yet.

Despite the £39m addition of Mohamed Salah from Roma, Liverpool still want depth on the wings and they plan to assess Kent during pre-season before making a final decision on the youngster’s future.

Harry Wilson and Sheyi Ojo are expected to undergo similar treatment with the pair also wanted by Football League clubs on loan. It’s likely that one of the three wingers will remain at Anfield and be a part of the first-team squad next season.
