# Liverpool closing in on Fabinho deal

Liverpool are closing in on a deal to sign Fabinho from AS Monaco, according to French journalist Bertrand Latour.

The Reds are looking to sign a new holding midfielder this summer as they aim to replace Emre Can, who is set to join Juventus this week following the expiration of his contract at Anfield.

Fabinho has been a key player for Monaco under Leonardo Jardim but after two seasons of being linked with a move to the Premier League, it seems Liverpool are closest to securing his signature.

It’s stated that Liverpool are set to complete a deal for Fabinho worth a fee of €55 million, along with further additional bonuses.

Manchester United have been recently linked with a move for the Brazilian midfielder, whilst Atletico Madrid have also been previously touted as a potential destination for the player.

Fabinho is reported to be enthused by the prospect of playing in the Premier League and a move to Merseyside appears to be on the cards.
