# Liverpool contact Pepe’s agent ahead of summer move

Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Nicolas Pepe’s agent ahead of a summer move.

The Reds have been heavily linked with a move for the wide man, who has enjoyed a stellar campaign in Ligue 1 with Lille.

The 24-year-old joined Lille back in 2017 for just €10m under now Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa and has been a vital member of the side ever since.

Pepe scored 22 times in Ligue 1 this season, with Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe the only player to score more than the Ivory Coast international in France’s top division.

The pacey winger’s impressive individual campaign has seen him linked with a summer switch to Anfield, as well as moves to Manchester United and PSG.

And according to journalist Duncan Castles, cited by the [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-transfer-rumours-news-live-16345358), the Reds have already made contact with the winger’s agent to discuss a potential deal.

> From what I’ve been told, Liverpool have been in contact with Pepe’s agent to discuss a deal, his interest in coming and what is would cost to come. Lille are aware of this and are waiting for a bid.

> Manchester United have enquired directly to Lille about what the transfer fee would be. PSG also have an interest in Pepe.

> Lille have been very clear he’s available for sale and the asking price is £70m. They would love to have a bid come in from Liverpool and United to get an auction going.

Jurgen Klopp is expecting to add one or two to his current squad over the summer, with an attacking option and a full back the most likely additions at Anfield ahead of next season.
