# Liverpool eye move for Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski is a transfer target for Liverpool this summer, though Jurgen Klopp faces competition from Chelsea in the pursuit for the striker, [the Express report.](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1110929/Chelsea-Liverpool-Robert-Lewandowski-transfer-ban-Jurgen-Klopp-Bayern-Munich-Dortmund)

Klopp is said to be keen on a move for the forward, who he worked with during his time at Borussia Dortmund, amid reports of uncertainty regarding the Poland international’s future at Bayern Munich.

The German champions are said to be looking to overhaul their squad this summer with the likes of Lewandowski, Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and Manuel Neuer all reaching the latter stages of their careers.

And Liverpool look set to be in pole position should they look to make an offer for the 31-year-old, given the uncertainty surrounding Chelsea’s impending transfer ban, however the Reds would need to splash a reported £70million to land the striker.

Lewandowski has been one of the best striker’s in world football in recent years, and the Pole is the leading scorer in the Bundesliga this season with 21 goals from 27 appearances.
