# Liverpool fans are angry with Jurgen Klopp after injury update on Diogo Jota

A number of Liverpool fans are angry after it was revealed Diogo Jota will definitely miss Sunday’s clash with Fulham, and could be out for a longer period of time.

The Reds head to Craven Cottage this weekend, in what has to be considered a must-win Premier League game, given the hosts’ 17th-place position in the table.

Jurgen Klopp will have to make do without Jota for the match, however, with [https://www.thetimes.co.uk/sport](https://www.thetimes.co.uk/sport)*[Times](https://www.thetimes.co.uk/sport)*‘ Paul Joyce [confirming on Twitter](https://twitter.com/_pauljoyce/status/1337687465549832192?s=20) that he has picked up a knee injury.

The club are still waiting to know the full extent of the problem, which is alarming for anyone of a Reds persuasion.

Jota has been a revelation for Liverpool since [arriving](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54214671) from Wolves during the summer transfer window, scoring [nine goals in 17 appearances](https://www.lfchistory.net/Players/Player/Profile/1373).

These Reds supporters were in negative spirits on Twitter after hearing the news, with many deeply frustrated with Klopp for playing him in the dead rubber against Midtjylland.

> Sorry but absolutely all on Klopp. Playing him midweek was brainless. The squad is already paper thin due to injuries.

> Klopp doesn't have a leg to stand on with this one. Ridiculous decision to play such a strong team

> Only ourselves to blame for this one I’m afraid, playing so many for so many minutes in a meaningless game was absolute bonkers on Wednesday.
