# Liverpool fans are left stunned by pundit’s criticism of Thiago

A number of Liverpool fans cannot believe what *talkSPORT* presenter Adrian Durham has said about Thiago.

The 29-year-old made his first Reds start at Anfield on Sunday, as the Premier League champions played out a 0-0 draw with Manchester United.

Thiago started the game superbly, dictating the midfield battle and looking a class act, before his lack of match fitness started to show in the second half.

It has been a hugely frustrating start to life at Liverpool for the Spaniard, with [injuries](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/thiago/verletzungen/spieler/60444) limiting him to [just six appearances](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/74939/Show/Thiago). He is a world-class footballer, though, and should be a key man moving forward.

Someone who actually believes Thiago is an issue, however, is Durham, who claimed on his [*talkSPORT*](https://twitter.com/talkSPORT/status/1351218989964398600?s=20) show that he slows Liverpool down too much.

These Reds supporters have been left stunned by the presenter’s odd comments, taking to Twitter to explain how wrong he is on the matter.
