# Liverpool fans are unhappy with Jurgen Klopp’s injury update on Diogo Jota

A number of Liverpool fans are unhappy with Jurgen Klopp’s injury update on Diogo Jota, as his absence from the team continues to drag on.

The Portuguese [joined](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54214671) the Reds for £41million from Wolves last summer, in a move that seemingly materialised from nowhere.

Jota made a flying start to life at Liverpool, [scoring nine goals in 17 appearances](https://www.lfchistory.net/Players/Player/GoalsPerSeason/1373-130), including winners against Sheffield United and West Ham.

Unfortunately, injury struck down the 24-year-old when he was on top form, with a [knee problem](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/diogo-jota/verletzungen/spieler/340950) in a dead rubber away to Midtjylland in the Champions League keeping him out for a sustained period.

Jota’s return has been edging closer all the time, but in Wednesday’s pre-Burnley press conference, Klopp [confirmed](https://twitter.com/_pauljoyce/status/1351878790209806337?s=20) that the forward was still a “few weeks away” from making his comeback.

These Liverpool fans reacted to the update on Twitter, showing their unhappiness at his absence going on for longer than initially expected.
