# Liverpool fans bemoan Jurgen Klopp’s update on Diogo Jota’s injury

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/02/04/de-boer-talks-up-van-dijks-chances-of-playing-at-euro-2020/) fans are now well versed in responding to disappointing injury updates and, on Wednesday night, a flustered Jurgen Klopp gave Kopites another moan with his troubling prognosis regarding [Diogo Jota](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/02/04/diogo-jota-injury-update-wont-return-for-a-number-of-weeks/)‘s return.

There had been optimism that the Portuguese winger may be back in action sooner rather than later from the [knee injury](https://www.transfermarkt.com/diogo-jota/verletzungen/spieler/340950) he picked up against Midtjylland, which has ruled him out for two months and counting.

However, despite being [back in training](https://twitter.com/brfootball/status/1356947112097947649) this week, Klopp confirmed \[via[Paul Gorst on Twitter](https://twitter.com/ptgorst/status/1357096913674375169)\] that the 24-year-old is still a number of weeks away from first team action.

Signed from Wolves in the summer for £41m ([BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54214671)), Jota made an instant impression in his short time on Merseyside by making a greater [impact](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/jota-impact-liverpool-similar-salah-klopp-headache-aldridge/1ixdq112s4wu9z9kenig0uy58)than anyone could have predicted, leaving the Reds severely missing his direct running and [nine goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/diogo-jota/leistungsdaten/spieler/340950) from just 17 appearances.

We’ve compiled a pick of the reaction on Twitter from disgruntled Kopites about the news concerning Jota, who one fan hailed as Liverpool’s “most influential player”…
