# Liverpool fans can’t believe Salah’s ranking in top 50 players list

A number of Liverpool fans cannot believe Mohamed Salah has only been ranked as the 18th best player in the world in a new list provided by [https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/goal-50-2020-the-best-50-players-in-the-world/1drx0x11z7i8a17j14njsth0ew](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/goal-50-2020-the-best-50-players-in-the-world/1drx0x11z7i8a17j14njsth0ew)*[Goal](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/goal-50-2020-the-best-50-players-in-the-world/1drx0x11z7i8a17j14njsth0ew)*.

The Egyptian has become a superstar at Anfield since arriving from Roma in the summer of 2017, scoring an incredible [104 goals in 165 appearances](https://www.lfchistory.net/Players/Player/Profile/1317).

Salah has been one of the most devastating attacking players in the world, playing a huge role in the Reds’ dominance under Jurgen Klopp.

Despite that, there is always a feeling that the 28-year-old is vastly [underrated](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/salah-undervalued-underappreciated-carragher-liverpool-title/zxf007e3pvjz1tlc71vcnkq0s) by some, with others often earning praise over him, despite his numbers being more impressive.

That has been highlighted by Goal’s list of the 50 best players in the world in 2020, with Salah ranking 18th overall.

The forward is behind Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane and Trent Alexander-Arnold in the reckoning, not to mention the likes of Thomas Muller and Romelu Lukaku.

It is a strange list that once again suggests Salah doesn’t earn the love he deserves, having been such a huge figure for Liverpool throughout the year.

These Reds fans have been reacting to Salah’s ranking on Twitter, with many left completely baffled by it.

> List wasn’t worth reading as soon as they said Lukaku is the 15th best player in the world. Salah has to be higher than 18th too
