# Liverpool fans divided over Youssef En-Nesyri transfer links

As an attacking force, [Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/02/23/exclusive-mark-halsey-criticises-var-liverpool-everton/) have previously been a joy to behold, with their famed front three in particular [attracting admirers](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/no-better-front-three-in-the-world-than-liverpools-mane/7niscnxcc1rv1rnds5234jixf) from far and wide.

However, a recent [downturn in results](https://www.skysports.com/liverpool-results) and [a litany of injuries across the squad](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/liverpool-injuries-which-players-are-out-when-will-they/180055299z10c110h1epjsvvad) has coincided with the previously untouchable attacking trio hitting the buffers somewhat.

Whilst [Mohamed Salah](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/02/22/mohamed-salahs-former-chelsea-teammate-claims-he-was-like-messi/) continues to score goals at an astonishing level, Roberto Firmino has suffered a [major crisis of confidence](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-roberto-firmino-jamie-carragher-23528831) in front of goal. This had lead to many Kopites and [suggestions from elsewhere](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-transfer-news-haaland-firmino-23389488) claiming the Reds need to freshen up their striking options in the summer.

One of those more traditional strikers linked with a move to Anfield is Sevilla hotshot [Youssef En-Nesyri](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/youssef-en-nesyri-who-is-morocco-international-leading/2cv5hxasyac31r5ygqkvxeqio). According to [90min.com](https://www.90min.com/posts/exclusive-sevilla-offer-premier-league-target-youssef-en-nesyri-new-contract), Liverpool are one of the clubs monitoring the 23-year-old, who has struck [17 goals in all competitions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/youssef-en-nesyri/leistungsdaten/spieler/433049) this season.

Plenty of the Reds faithful have been discussing the transfer links on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/empireofthekop/status/1364133049110175749). While one Kopite said that the Moroccan’s style of play reminded him of ex-Anfield predator Luis Suarez, others believe that En-Nesyri would be “another flop”, perhaps wary of the [unsuccessful signing of Iago Aspas](https://www.eurosport.co.uk/football/liga/2015-2016/yes-aspas-embarrassed-barca.-but-that-doesnt-mean-liverpool-should-have-kept-him_sto4924213/story.shtml) from La Liga a few years ago.
