# Liverpool fans in uproar over latest Diogo Jota injury update

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/02/12/liverpool-fans-react-as-injury-rules-fabinho-out-of-leicester-clash/) fans have had to endure more than their fair share of [injury hardship](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/ausfallzeiten/verein/31) this season and they were dealt another dose as [Jurgen Klopp confirmed](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/425622-jurgen-klopp-leicester-injury-update-fabinho) that an important trio would miss the weekend trip to Leicester City.

The Reds will be without Fabinho for the [crunch top four clash](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) at the King Power Stadium, while [Diogo Jota](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/02/12/jurgen-klopp-confirms-diogo-jota-injury-return-weeks-away/)and Naby Keita will remain sidelined for another while yet.

Jota had been [expected to return sooner](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-diogo-jota-injury-return-19778199), but the manager claimed it would still be two or three weeks before the Portuguese winger is back in contention, in an updated shared via [James Pearce on Twitter](https://twitter.com/JamesPearceLFC/status/1360193130667122690).

> Klopp on Jota: "Diogo is close but not as close as Naby."\
> Says it will be "2 to 3 weeks maybe" before he's available. [#LFC](https://twitter.com/hashtag/LFC?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)

The 24-year-old’s [early-season form](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/jota-impact-liverpool-similar-salah-klopp-headache-aldridge/1ixdq112s4wu9z9kenig0uy58) coincided with perhaps [Liverpool’s best performances](https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/video/highlights/0263-10c4c45bd2f5-01b00061e740-1000--highlights-atalanta-0-5-liverpool/), something which is not lost on many clued-up Reds. His injury is all the more galling as it [stemmed from his involvement](https://www.eurosport.com/football/premier-league/2020-2021/liverpool-forward-diogo-jota-set-to-miss-up-to-eight-weeks-with-knee-injury_sto8031548/story.shtml) in the [dead rubber](https://www.skysports.com/football/midtjylland-vs-liverpool/report/439040) Champions League clash against Midtjylland two months ago.

Fed up of the constant travails with injuries this term, a number of Kopites have vented their frustrations on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/JamesPearceLFC/status/1360193130667122690)…
