# Liverpool fans love Jota’s outrageous piece of skill for Portugal

Dioga Jota already looks an exciting signing for Liverpool, proving to be a lively performer out on the left wing.

The Portuguese scored his first Reds goal on his Premier League debut against Arsenal last week, volleying home emphatically in front of the Kop.

While Jota started the embarrassing 7-2 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa, he was still one of Liverpool’s better players on a terrible evening.

The Reds’ front-three has lacked top class replacements for too long now, but Jota looks a great option if Sadio Mane is absent, also bringing much-needed quality from the substitutes’ bench.

Jota has been showcasing his talent on international duty with Portugal, as Liverpool’s players represent their respective countries this week.

The 23-year-old was a late substitute in Portugal’s 0-0 draw with Spain on Wednesday night, producing one superb piece of skill to get away from his man.

These Liverpool supporters unsurprisingly lapped up Jota’s moment of magic, taking to Twitter to laud their new hero.

> Seen enough from Jota in these first couple of weeks to think he’s potentially special. Close control, strength, skill, work rate and technical ability all there. Big potential. [https://t.co/zfcikuqeqt](https://t.co/zfcikuqeqt)

> Decided Diogo Jota’s going to be THE signing we all keep referencing back to in the future. On the upward trajectory and that’s about to be supercharged via Jürgen Klopp.
