# Liverpool fans love that Curtis Jones has called out some Reds supporters

A number of Liverpool supporters have been showing their support for Curtis Jones, after the midfielder called out a section of the Reds fanbase.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough 2020, starting it by scoring the winner against Everton in the FA Cup and ending it as a regular in Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Injuries to the likes of Thiago and Naby Keita, coupled with Fabinho playing at centre-back, has given Jones more football than he would have expected this season, with the youngster [starting seven](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/355354/Show/Curtis-Jones) out of 16 Premier League games.

Having been in excellent form a few weeks ago, the Englishman’s level has dipped a little, with ineffective performances coming in the draws against West Brom and Newcastle United.

It appears as though Jones has been receiving some criticism from ‘fans’ online, judging by his latest [Twitter](https://twitter.com/curtisjr_10/status/1344799585823318019?s=20) post.

On New Year’s Eve, the boyhood Red wished supporters a Happy New Year, but pointed out that the message was only meant for “REAL fans”.

> And to all the REAL fans, thank you for your continued support!❤️
