# Liverpool fans sign a petition to get Divock Origi an Anfield statue

Some Liverpool supporters are signing petitions to get the club to build a statue of Divock Origi outside Anfield

Origi was the talk of the town yet again after he scored yet another vital couple of goals for the Reds during their Carabao Cup game on Wednesday evening.

Origi scored the goal that initially tied the game at 4-4, before his injury-time scissor kick made the game 5-5, after Joe Willock thought he’d won the tie for Arsenal with a wondergoal of his own.

Origi also scored his spot-kick in the shootout as the Reds slotted all five of their penalties past Emiliano Martinez to send Liverpool into the quarter-finals.

When Origi scored a brace against Barcelona in last year’s Champions League semi-final, a Change.org petition was set up to get a statue built of Origi and after his performance against Arsenal, it’s started to get a few more signatures as Reds’ fans continue to show their support for the Belgian star.
