# Liverpool fans turned off by Ousmane Dembele rumours on social media

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/04/virals-liverpool-midfielder-naby-keita-wanted-by-multiple-clubs/) are once again being linked with a move for Barcelona contract rebel [Ousmane Dembele](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/04/virals-liverpool-set-to-take-advantage-of-ousmane-dembele-contract-halt/).

The 24-year-old is [out of contract](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ousmane-dembele/profil/spieler/288230) at the end of the season and at present is no closer to extending a deal at the Camp Nou.

Reds’ boss Jurgen Klopp is [believed to be a huge admirer](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1425075/Liverpool-news-Jurgen-Klopp-Ousmane-Dembele-transfer-gossip-Barcelona) of the French winger and could look to strike.

As ever many Kopites have had their say to the reports on [social media](https://twitter.com/LivEchoLFC/status/1478128033995370497) and this one has raised many questions.

So far this season Dembele has made [eight appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ousmane-dembele/leistungsdaten/spieler/288230) across all competitions – completing [90 minutes](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ousmane-dembele/leistungsdaten/spieler/288230) twice and missing 20 games through a combination of injury and illness.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £27million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ousmane-dembele/marktwertverlauf/spieler/288230)), signing the French World Cup winner for nothing or at a small fee would be a superb capture on the face of matters.

Liverpool look well placed to be the beneficiaries of a contract impasse and would be [suitably bolstering the attacking ranks](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/299513/Show/Ousmane-Demb%C3%A9l%C3%A9) in terms of quality.

However, a particularly checkered [injury history](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ousmane-dembele/verletzungen/spieler/288230) makes the star a high risk to any squad.

With Klopp already having to handle the [fragility](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/alex-oxlade-chamberlain-naby-keita-21829539) of Naby Keita, Thiago and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, adding Dembele to the mix is surely one step too far.
