# Liverpool fans will be fuming after latest Ibrahim Mbaye transfer update

**Liverpool have been locked in talks to sign both Ibrahim Mbaye and Bradley Barcola from PSG.**

Yesterday, sources from France confirmed that personal terms have been agreed with the Senegalese attacker on a five-year deal.

That came as a massive boost for Liverpool as it was the first big sign that Mbaye is moving to Anfield this summer.

But now, three separate English sources have poured cold water over claims that the deal is close or that personal terms have been agreed.

## Liverpool sources play down Ibrahim Mbaye links

The Daily Mail wrote: “As it stands, Liverpool are unlikely to pursue interest in Ibrahim Mbaye despite exploratory talks.”

James Pearce of The Athletic wrote: “Liverpool have been looking at Ibrahim Mbaye but, as things stand, they are unlikely to pursue their interest in the winger.”

Ian Doyle of the Liverpool Echo wrote: “Ibrahim Mbaye has also been discussed this summer but senior Liverpool figures insist their interest has only been exploratory to date and strongly dismissed suggestions that personal terms have already been agreed.”

It’s impossible to look past these reports as they all pretty much say the same thing.

Sources from France, however, are adamant, so we’ll have to wait and see how the situation develops in the coming days.

For now, though, this is sobering news for Liverpool fans across the world after yesterday’s claims that personal terms were agreed with Mbaye.
